Sedation Dentistry

If you’ve put off getting the smile you want due to fear, anxiety, tooth sensitivity, or a general aversion to dental work, sedation dentistry can help!  Sedation dentistry uses medication to help you relax during your dental treatments in order for you to get the beautiful smile and the self-confidence that goes with it.

Depending on your needs, one of the following types of sedation may be used:

  • Minimal sedation — you’re awake, but relaxed.
  • Moderate sedation — you may slur your words when speaking and not remember much of the treatment.
  • Deep sedation — you’re on the edge of consciousness, but can still be awakened.
  • General anesthesia — you are completely unconscious.

Regardless of the type of sedation you have, you will need someone to drive you home after your appointment.
